COATESVILLE, AUCKLAND

Cresta Vista Retreat

How many people can stay at Cresta Vista Retreat?

Cresta Vista sleeps up to 20 guests across 7 bedrooms and 15 beds, with exclusive use of the whole house and grounds. For weddings and events, we can welcome up to 80 people in total on site, including day guests. It’s the only property of this size in Coatesville, which makes it a natural base for weddings, corporate retreats and multi-family stays. The 15 beds are:

  • 1 × Super King
  • 3 × Queen
  • 6 × King Single
  • 1 × Sofa bed (Queen)
  • 4 × Single foldaway beds

Please note: 20 is the absolute maximum for sleeping, and the space may feel crowded depending on where you’d like to set up the foldaway beds.

Where is Cresta Vista and how far is it from Auckland city?

Cresta Vista is in rural Coatesville, northwest of Auckland — about 30 minutes’ drive from Auckland CBD and 45 minutes from Auckland Airport. You get countryside quiet with panoramic city views, without a long drive for your guests.

Does Cresta Vista have a hot tub or spa pool?

Yes — there’s a hot tub (spa pool) on site, with stunning views across Auckland.

Is there parking for a large group?

Yes — the main driveway parks 8–9 cars, extended parking takes another 12–15, and for larger events we open up a paddock for overflow parking. A full wedding’s worth of cars fits comfortably on the property.

Are pets allowed at Cresta Vista?

No — I’m afraid not. Cresta Vista has livestock on the property, so we can’t allow other animals.

What’s the minimum stay at Cresta Vista?

At Cresta Vista, the minimum is one night midweek and two nights on weekends. Public holidays may carry a different minimum, and stays of three nights or more attract a discount.

What are check-in and check-out times at Cresta Vista?

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out by 11am, with early or late by arrangement when the calendar allows. Please note it can take 4 hours to refresh the property for the next guests, so an early check-in or late check-out on a same-day turnover may not be possible.

THE BIG OCCASIONS

Weddings & events

Can we hold a wedding at Cresta Vista?

Yes — Cresta Vista hosts weddings and celebrations for up to a maximum of 80 people on site, with overnight accommodation for 20. A marquee is welcome provided the property isn’t damaged, outside caterers are permitted — and we also have a partnership with a private chef if you’d rather not organise your own. Outdoor amplified music finishes at 11pm out of consideration for our neighbours. Every event needs to be agreed before booking, as additional charges may apply.

How much does it cost to host an event at Cresta Vista?

Our Celebration Package ranges in price depending on the number of guests and the type of event, which is an additional cost to the accommodation. A 2-night minimum applies when hosting an event. Talk to us about your event and we’ll price it properly.

What is included in the Celebration Package cost?

The Celebration Package includes :

  • Use of the venue
  • Parking management
  • Additional tables
  • Additional chairs
  • Glassware (Wine glasses, Champagne glasses, beer glasses) as needed
  • Handling of additional cleaning and rubbish
  • Myself being on standby for anything/assist setup/takedowns
What event dining options are there?

For smaller, more intimate gatherings of 30 and below, we can accommodate a full sit-down meal in a long-table configuration. For larger gatherings we recommend buffet style, finger food or BBQ — we also allow food trucks and external caterers, and have access to a private chef.

Can Cresta Vista host a corporate retreat or team offsite?

Yes — Cresta Vista has multiple breakout and seating areas, two whiteboards ready to go, and five TVs across the property for presentations. We’ve also partnered with the local cafes for any catering needs (menus and pricing provided on demand), and we can provide GST invoices.

How far is Teemos Retreat from Rotorua’s main attractions?
